  In 2006, Shenzhen Foreign Languages School, Longgang Branch had 9 students earn over 700 points on the national standardized tests. In addition, 115 students received over 600 points on the test and 197 students scored above 550.  The students of Longgang Branch had an overall score in the top 38.7th percentile. Longgang Branch had 297 students that attended the exam, with an overall average score of 576.2 points. Only a mere 3 students within the entire school scored below 400 points. As a result of the high scores, Longgang Branch school has set the standard for the test. Longgang Branch has earned the second highest scores within the entire history of Shenzhen in the fields of history and social studies.

  In the previous year, two students from Longgang Branch received second place nationwide in the 7th annual CCTV Outlook Oral English Competition in Shenzhen. In the 4th nationwide Technology and Creation Exposition, Longgang Branch did extremely well. Both a teacher and a student from Longgang Branch earned a nationwide first place prize, while two students received a nationwide second place, and 3 students got third place. Last year, during the Shenzhen City Reading Month's Su Pei Bei English OK Competition, Longgang Branch students received first and second place for individual awards. The school’s academic team also earned silver in Guangdong Province's English competition, first place in Guangdong Province's Biology Competition, second place in the “Outlook Cup” math competition, first place in Asia's “Star of tomorrow” nationwide piano competition, first place in the nationwide Children’s Piano competition, a “double dragon cup” in the nationwide calligraphy competition, as well as many other awards. The students at Longgang Branch excel in a diverse array of topics and subject matters beyond the typical curriculum.

  For the previous few years, approximately 90 students from Longgang Branch continue their studies at the Shenzhen Foreign Languages School high school. Forty-five students from Longgang Branch receive a guaranteed spot to the Shenzhen Foreign Languages School high school before any exams take place. Ninety-three percent of the students at Longgang Branch enroll into the best schools in Shenzhen. Students at Longgang Branch continue to define success and make the school proud.
